Subject Profiled: Carlo Di Domizio

Carlo Di Domizio, Associate Group Marketing Manager for Sears Canada, is getting to know Canada’s vast landscape. For almost a decade, Carlo has travelled from coast to coast with the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride, as either a National rider or a volunteer. He has participated in every Ride since its inauguration in 2008.

What started as a challenge from a co-worker has turned into a life-changing passion. Carlo credits the ride with teaching him important life lessons, especially the value of teamwork and to appreciate the small things in life.

One particularly poignant moment stands out for Carlo: the riders had stopped at the Terry Fox Memorial near Thunder Bay, Ontario. He watched as 18-year-old Josh – a fellow rider and a survivor of childhood cancer - paid tribute to his hero Terry. For Carlo, it stands out as one of the most memorable and emotional moments of the year, and serves as a reminder of why he’s committed to the ride.

In 2014, Carlo travelled the country yet again as a National Rider, sharing his expertise and helping the other National riders along their coast-to-coast journey. Thank you to Carlo and all the riders for making a difference in the live of kids living with and beyond cancer.
